Sebastian Jarmula is a visual artist from Calgary, Canada.

He studied at the University of Calgary and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, earning a combined degree of a Bachelor of Film Studies with a diploma in Film and Video Production. Most recently, he has completed further study in Social Media Marketing, along with Marketing and Communication, both at Australia Pacific College in Melbourne, Australia.

His interest lies in visual storytelling, with an emphasis on colour to attract the eye and invite deep emotional engagement. Experimentation is key to his process, with creative risk-taking in particular display across the film soak technique that has been the basis of multiple gallery exhibitions.

Sebastian enjoys jumping between different mediums – photography, moving image, sculpture, and installation – all different means to explore ideas and emotions.

He currently lives in Melbourne, Australia, where he continues to create.
